Elisha is the founder of Nisa, an ethical underwear label that employs women from refugee backgrounds here in Wellington. The idea for Nisa came to Elisha during her time volunteering with the Red Cross resettlement programme – she met awesome women with great sewing skills, who really struggled to find work in NZ due to language difficulties and a lack of local work experience. So, she quit her job as a lawyer in 2017 to set up a social enterprise to provide those opportunities, and Nisa was born.
